<p>For week 3 I decided to use only the resistance bands to see if I liked them better than using just weights. I used the teal green band that came with my challenge pack and the red band I already had for my workouts In the workout Chalene has one of her workout buddies using the bands which was nice because you could look at her to see how to use them properly. At first the bands do not seem like they would be that tough of a workout, but once you start using them by the 12th rep you are ready to fail. I liked the bands for some of the exercises and others i would have rather used the weights because I feel like I get a better workout with the weights on some moves.<span id="more-1889"></span></p>
<p>During week 3 I could tell a difference in how much stronger I have gotten; the moves were starting to get a little easier to do. I have also noticed I have lost some weight since I have been eating healthier and working out; my clothes are starting to fit a little looser it is nice to see the start of the results I am working so hard towards.</p>
<h2><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;">Week 4 Review</span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">This was my last week of the Burn Phase in Chalean Extreme. Once I am done with this phase then I move on to the Push Phase. This last week I went to the beach with my family so I had to take all my workout stuff with me and workout while on vacation, which I did everyday while on vacation. I would wake up really early everyday before everyone else so i could workout without getting distracted and have my workouts done before the day started. The only hard part of being on vacation was trying to eat healthy. I did not do a very good job of  eating healthy because my family wanted to eat out all the time and we had little kids so there were so many temptations with all the junk food they like to eat. I also forgot my <a title="A No BS Shakeology Review" href="http://brett-banford.com/shakeology-review">Shakeology</a> at home so I couldn&#8217;t even eat that; I am a little disappointed with myself since I did not eat healthy but now that I am back home I am back to eating healthy. With Brett&#8217;s help I will be back on track with losing more weight, he is the best support system I could every ask for through this transformation in my life!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> At the end of this month I have notice a change in my body and self. I have so much more energy, I sleep better, I feel better about myself, and I have lost some weight. I can tell I have gotten smaller on my waist and my legs have gotten stronger and a little smaller! I am so happy with the results I am getting and I can not wait to see them results I get through out the rest of the program!  </span></p>

<p>This week I have successfully completed week 2 of Chalean Extreme! I am still in the burn phase of the program so I had all the same workouts from last week. The workouts this week have gotten a little easier. I have increased the weight I am lifting during the workouts which has become a little bit more challenging, but not to the point where I can&#8217;t do it.</p>
<p>I am really starting to like the 3 Burn Circuit workouts, all the weight lifting and the exercises are really starting to shape my body and build my muscles. On the other hand I dislike her Burn interval. It is intense and I have to really push myself though these workouts but I do like the kickboxing part of the Burn intervals. The kickboxing really helps you relax on a stressed day or if you are in a bad mood it is a good workout to do and you will feel great after it.<span id="more-1713"></span></p>
<p>My favorite workout in this whole phase has to be the Burn It off and Recharge workout; they are both a great way to end the workout week and all the stretches in the Recharge workout feels so great on sore muscles. I am really enjoying how the workouts are not super long most of them are 40-30 minutes long, there are only two days where you workout for about a hour which once you start you hardly notice you have been working out that long because you are getting such a great workout!</p>
<p>I have also been eating healthier this week because I really want to get the best results I can from this program. I have cut soda out of my diet, I&#8217;m eating more fruits and veggies, salads, and smaller portion sizes with my meals. Also Brett and I are cooking more meals at home instead of going out to eat all the time which has really helped us eat healthier and save some money.</p>
<p>Since I have started this new healthier lifestyle I have gotten in to growing more of my own herbs and cooking with them. One day when I have my own yard I want to have my own garden where I grow my own sustainable garden and use what I grow in it to cook with. I really love cooking with many different flavors, ingredients, and all kinds of spices to create a delicious meal. Cooking with many different ingredients helps to keep eating healthy from getting too boring and stops you from wanting to stray from eating healthy; that&#8217;s what I have found out through this process of having a healthier lifestyle.</p>
<p>Chalene always talks in her workouts about how you should get your family and friends involved in working out with you which I agree with. It has been nice to have Brett going through this lifestyle change with me. Even though we are not doing the same programs he still supports me while I do my workouts and I do the same for him. Also he helps cook dinner and go shopping for the food we eat. This whole process has brought us closer in many different aspects of our relationship and has us wanting to do more active quality time stuff together instead of sitting on the couch all the time. This program is more than just a workout program it is a life changing program and I can&#8217;t wait to see the result I get from it!</p>

<p>I started my workout journey with Beachbody doing Insanity but due to past knee injuries it was too tough on my joints for me to continue it. So with the help of my Beachbody coach Brett Banford I found ChaLean Extreme, which was a workout program we thought would get me the result I wanted and it would be easier on my joints.</p>
<p>I ordered my challenge pack and in a about a week I had my Shakeology and workout program.  I started July 2 2012 and finished my first week of workouts July 7 2012. The program came with 7 different dvds, a program guidebook, and a fat burning food guidebook which has been very helpful so far while starting the program. There is a dvd in the program that has a section all about the workouts, how they will help you burn fat, and how to do the moves right. Also the dvd has a part where she gives you tips on what to eat and she gives you a &#8220;kitchen makeover&#8221;, which I found very helpful there were a lot of great tips on what to eat and what to buy when you go grocery shopping.<span id="more-1573"></span></p>
<p>On Monday I started my first workout circuit called the Burn circuit 1. This workout was a little difficult for me at first just because I am not use to lifting weights but after the first two exercises I really liked lifting the weights. Also I really like the energy ChaLEAN keeps during the workouts she really keeps you going during them. ChaLEAN also breaks down the workouts so you can easily do them at home and do them the right way.</p>
<p>The next day was my rest day which was nice but I found it a little odd that the second day of the program was a rest day. Wednesday I started Burn circuit 2 which again was a challenge because I was new to the moves and lifting weights but I still enjoyed it and felt great after my workout.</p>
<p>Then on Thursday I did ChaLEAN Extreme burn intervals and ab burner. Those two circuits were very hard for me because some of the moves did hurt my knee but ChaLEAN has one of her workout buddies show you how to do the moves in a low impact way which made it much easier on my joints and let me enjoy the workouts better.</p>
<p>Friday I did Circuit 3 which was similar to the other burn circuits. I ended my workout week on Saturday with ChaLEAN Extreme Burn it off and recover, these workouts were very nice after this hard week. There were a lot of really nice stretches which felt good on my tight muscles. Overall I really liked this program and can&#8217;t wait to see the result my hard work will bring!</p>
