    ChaLEAN EXTREME Week 3 and Week 4 Review/Results

    Week 3 Review

    For week 3 I decided to use only the resistance bands to see if I liked them better than using just weights. I used the teal green band that came with my challenge pack and the red band I already had for my workouts In the workout Chalene has one of her workout buddies using the bands which was nice because you could look at her to see how to use them properly. At first the bands do not seem like they would be that tough of a workout, but once you start using them by the 12th rep you are ready to fail. I liked the bands for some of the exercises and others i would have rather used the weights because I feel like I get a better workout with the weights on some moves. Read more…

    Easy Crock Pot Applesauce!

    A few weeks ago Brett and I had homemade applesauce and it inspired me to want to make my own. So I googled easy crock pot recipes and found one that seemed very easy to do, so I decided to tackle it! For this recipe you only need a crock pot and a few ingredients. The recipe taste great and while it is cooking your house smells awesome! You can use any kinds of apples you would like I used Gala apples.     Chalean Extreme Week 2 Review

    This week I have successfully completed week 2 of Chalean Extreme! I am still in the burn phase of the program so I had all the same workouts from last week. The workouts this week have gotten a little easier. I have increased the weight I am lifting during the workouts which has become a little bit more challenging, but not to the point where I can’t do it.

    I am really starting to like the 3 Burn Circuit workouts, all the weight lifting and the exercises are really starting to shape my body and build my muscles. On the other hand I dislike her Burn interval. It is intense and I have to really push myself though these workouts but I do like the kickboxing part of the Burn intervals. The kickboxing really helps you relax on a stressed day or if you are in a bad mood it is a good workout to do and you will feel great after it. Read more…

    ChaLEAN EXTREME Week 1 Review

    I started my workout journey with Beachbody doing Insanity but due to past knee injuries it was too tough on my joints for me to continue it. So with the help of my Beachbody coach Brett Banford I found ChaLean Extreme, which was a workout program we thought would get me the result I wanted and it would be easier on my joints.

    I ordered my challenge pack and in a about a week I had my Shakeology and workout program.  I started July 2 2012 and finished my first week of workouts July 7 2012. The program came with 7 different dvds, a program guidebook, and a fat burning food guidebook which has been very helpful so far while starting the program. There is a dvd in the program that has a section all about the workouts, how they will help you burn fat, and how to do the moves right. Also the dvd has a part where she gives you tips on what to eat and she gives you a “kitchen makeover”, which I found very helpful there were a lot of great tips on what to eat and what to buy when you go grocery shopping.
