    P90X2 Day 1 – The Journey Begins!

    So last year around August I started my P90X2 journey. Unfortunately with my big race The Spartan Beast taking precedence I was unable to finish it. Well that is all about to change. I decided to recommit to the program and complete it from start to finish. I decided in honor of my commitment that I wanted to make a 90 day video blog that I hope will inspire you to commit to your own fitness journey.     Should I Do P90X or P90X2?

    P90X or P90X2P90X or P90X2? That is the question that many people interested in starting their health fitness journey are asking. Well I want to give anyone wondering about which one they should start with a little clarity and hopefully make the decision a little easier for them. The first thing that needs to be said out front is that both of these programs are completely different! P90X2 is not just the same old concept with P90X just with some new moves. This is a big distinction that many people need to know about ahead of time.     P90X P90X2 Insanity Hybrid

    P90X P90X2 Insanity HybridLast week I gave an update on my fitness journey and said that until the end of the year I would be doing a combination of P90X, P90X2, and Insanity AKA the P90X P90X2 Insanity Hybrid. The reason I am choosing this is because I want to finish off the year with some variability and also want to bulk up for my big 1 year transformation! I figure having some old school lifting with P90X and some new athletic based lifting with P90X2 will give me my best shot. I wanted to include Insanity as well to not over do it on the weights and not have the muscle definition I am looking for. The P90X P90X2 Insanity hybrid schedule below is my own schedule that I made up  for my own personal fitness purposes and I realize it is going to be missing some of the workouts from all three of the programs.     P90X2 Shoulders and Arms

    P90x2 Shoulders and ArmsP90x2 Shoulders and Arms is an awesome workout! I have been doing this workout for a number of weeks now and every time I get a ridiculous pump from it. This was definitely one of the workouts that I had been waiting for to really help me put some size in my arms. I came into this workout not really knowing what to expect and was curious to see how it would be different from the P90X version of shoulders and arms. Needless to say I was not disappointed!     P90X2 Chest, Back, and Balance

    chest, back, and balanceChest, back, and balance is the first workout of P90X2 and boy is it a workout! I just finished my first week of P90X2 phase 2 and let me tell you what an awesome week it was! Going into this phase I plan on putting on some real muscle and after doing chest, back, and balance, I don’t think that will be a problem. This was the workout that I had been waiting for since I first did the chest and back workout from the original P90X. So I wanted to go ahead and start giving you the low down on all the workouts in the phase 2 portion of P90X2 and chest,back, and balance is first up on the list.     P90X2 Workout Schedule

    P90X2 Workout ScheduleThe P90X2 workout schedule is a little bit different than the P90X schedule.  If you are curious to what it actually entails then sit back and listen up. If you are looking to amp up your workouts from P90X then P90X2 is a great workout for you. The big difference however is that with the P90X2 workout schedule there is a lot more flexibility in how long you want to continue a certain phase.  P90X2 is designed to focus on the area that you want to focus on in particular whether that be balance and coordination or strength and size.     P90X2 Tips

    P90X2 TipsAfter finishing my first two weeks of P90X2 I have come up with a list of P90X2 tips that will hopefully help people attempting these workouts.  Since P90X2 is such a different program than P90X these tips are going to hold a lot more relevance specifically to the program instead of being more generalized common fitness tips.  I have had to learn these over the past two weeks and some of them have been harder than others to actually focus on. I think you will notice some of these P90X2 tips will be pretty prominent and noticeable when you are attempting these workouts. Hopefully these tips will help you and not only allow you to perform the exercises better, but also help you achieve better results through P90X2. Read more…

    X2 Balance and Power

    X2 Balance and PowerX2 Balance and Power is DONE!!!! I just finished finished day 6 of my P90X2 challenge and have successfully been through all of the workouts for the foundation phase of P90X2.  I was not quite sure what to expect with the X2 Balance and Power workout only because it didn’t refer to any body parts in particular. None the less I was excited to do this workout. I want to wrap up the workouts for the foundation phase of P90X2 and give you a little more details about the X2 Balance and Power workout.
