5 Reasons To Start A Fitness Blog

In a day and age where people are constantly looking to stay motivated for their workouts, starting a fitness blog is often overlooked. Some people may think that blogging is stupid, or why would anyone care what I have to say anyways right? Well I want to give you five reasons why starting a fitness blog may be the key to your success with your workouts. The funny thing about the five reasons I am going to tell you is that some of them may not be exactly what you were expecting. There is much more to starting a fitness blog then meets the eye and I am going to bring that into the light for you!
How Starting a Fitness Blog Can Help You!
We all want to succeed with our workouts, and we all want constant motivation to push ourselves through these workouts. This is what my fitness blog has done for me as well as many other things that I didn’t expect. So let’s get started with the first reason why you should start a fitness blog!
Fitness Blog Reason 1: Accountability
This is probably the most obvious reason for starting a fitness blog. Writing down your journey through a blog allows you to report in everyday and write down your experience. It keeps you accountable by making sure you have something to write about each day after doing your workouts. The way to maximize this effect is to say that you are going to do a fitness program or set some sort of goal with a time frame on it and that you are going to track your journey. This not only forces yourself to show up and write on your fitness blog everyday, but puts a tangible on the table for you to achieve as well.
Fitness Blog Reason 2: Support
The cool thing about starting a fitness blog is that your friends will hopefully want to see you succeed. In sharing your journey with others you help and encourage others to get involved and to give you added encouragement in your fitness journey. This allows you to feel like you aren’t doing this alone and that you have people who want to see you succeed.
Fitness Blog Reason 3: Relationships
Believe it or not by starting your own fitness blog you hopefully in the process will build new friendships and relationships with others who are going through similar journeys and struggles as you are. People who can say they know what you are going through and who can relate to you will hopefully follow your journey and maybe even be inspired by you. This certainly applied to my journey as I have made many new friendships with people from Beachbody (aka the best fitness community ever!).
Fitness Blog Reason 4: Personal Development
You know it is funny looking back on my own fitness blog, how much I have changed since starting it. I can see the way I use to talk through my words as a reflection of myself and compare them to what they are now. I promise you if you start a fitness blog you will grow as a person because with the physical transformation comes the emotional and mental transformation as well.
Fitness Blog Reason 5: MAKE MONEY
That’s right you can actually earn money just from working out and running a blog just like this one. Through inspiring others to workout and providing support you can actually make some extra money on the side as well.
