Insanity Or P90X?

Are you trying to decide between Insanity or P90X? Well if you read this post it should help with your decision. When it comes down to it they are both really good programs. The only way you can go wrong is if you don’t pick the best program that is best suited for your personal goals. Even though you can’t go wrong with either program they are completely different and it is an important distinction to make before deciding which one to pick. Make sure you check out the breakdown below this post and it should clear up any haziness you may have between the two.
Insanity or P90X – The Complete Breakdown!
Like I said above there is a big difference that you need to be aware of when you are deciding between Insanity or P90X. So let’s briefly cover Insanity. Insanity is a high intensity interval workout that centers primarily around cardio. You won’t need any equipment, just your body and a floor. The program is 60 days long and Shaun T is the trainer. P90X on the other side is a whole other story. P90X is a 90 day program that focuses on muscle confusion and incorporates a lot of weight training. There are a number of pieces of P90X equipment required. Tony Horton is the trainer of this program. Like I said the main thing is that you choose the program that is best suited for your personal goals. So what sort of goals am I referring to exactly. So some people may ask which is better Insanity or P90X, or what’s harder P90X or Insanity? Is there some big Insanity vs P90X competition? Well like I’ll keep saying they are both two different programs and it depends on how you look at it. I will go ahead and tell you why to choose either Insanity or P90X though.
Why Choose Insanity?
One of the best reasons to choose Insanity is for someone who is looking to get really lean and shred some fat. This workout is an absolute calorie burner and you will sweat your butt off. Since there are no weights involved and you are only using your body weight do not expect to put on a lot of muscle using this workout. If you prefer cardio over weight lifting or strength training then you will want to choose Insanity as well. Many women prefer to do this workout over P90X. Overall Insanity is a great program if you are looking to lose a lot of extra fat, however it is very intense so beginners will have to work extra hard to stick with it. Why Choose P90X?
P90X is a great workout for those looking for an all around well balanced workout. It incorporates cardio and strength training. If you are looking to put on some muscle and get ripped then when deciding between Insanity or P90X you’ll want to stick with P90X. P90X is geared more towards the beginner then Insanity is, but that doesn’t mean a beginner can’t do Insanity. If you are looking for an all around workout that will help you build muscle, get lean, and lose weight then I would go with P90X. The P90X/Insanity Hybrid!
The awesome thing about trying to decide if you want to do Insanity or P90X is that you don’t have to pick just one! That’s right there is actually a P90X/Insanity Hybrid, which is a combination of the two workouts beautifully put together to get you amazing results. I would however advise completely at least one of the programs prior to starting the P90X/Insanity Hybrid, but if you already have both or want to buy Insanity or P90X together than by all means go for it!
Insanity or P90X or Both – Your Choice!
At the end of the day it is really your choice whether you decide you want to do Insanity or P90X. They are both great programs and will definitely give you the results you are looking for either way.
